Arizona Copper Minerals develop their colors from the oxidation of copper. Often interlaced together 2 or more colors at a time. The copper travels by way of water, and leeches out into the surrounding rock causing the colors we now see expressed in the specimen. Over time the copper minerals saturate the surrounding rock, creating this dense, sparkly and beautiful ore.

These minerals include Chrysocolla, Malachite, Specular Hematite.
